Luísa Maita, hailed by NPR’s All Things Considered as “The New Voice of Brazil”, tours the US, Canada and Mexico this November. The tour, which starts on November 3rd in New York City, brings the acclaimed singer to major venues across the continent, and marks the first time the São Paulo native has toured outside of Brazil.

Acoustic and electric bass, samplers, percussion, keyboards, and synthesizers are part of everyday life for musician, producer and researcher Alfredo Bello, AKA DJ Tudo. Bello travels his home country of Brazil studying traditional Brazilian music styles while also taking inspiration from the European and African influences within those forms. The result of this is an amazing blend of musical innovation and collaboration fusing traditional music with elements of contemporary music such as reggae, dub, jungle, funk and more.

Opening for Ana Tijoux, re/route presents local DMV favorites, DTMD (dunc/toine/makin/dollas). Producer Dunc and MC Toine recently released their debut album The Basics EP (download it for free at bandcamp) along with a video for the single You, which has been earning critical acclaim since the start of the year.
